Metta Meditation - The Meditation on Loving Kindness

Our Beloved Guru Dev Master Choa Kok Sui

In Buddhism The Meditation on Loving Kindness is called Metta Meditation.

Metta is achieving the State of Mind & Being that emanates unconditional 'Loving Kindness’ to every person & every Sentient Being.*

Metta is the first stage to achieving Compassion

(i.e. purposeful acts of Altruism, of "purposeful acts" of reaching out to others in selfless concern or caring for their Well Being)

When a practitioner can genuinely achieve & maintain these qualities as a mode of operation in their lives … coupled with Wisdom (or intellectual & intuitive understanding) ...

It brings the great gift of Inner Peace & Tranquility …

This is a stable state of Loving-Kindness coupled together with Compassion.

Metta is 'passive’ & while Compassion – As a more advanced state - is more ‘Active’ …

In a recent article we read:

"THE PRACTICE OF METTA BHAVANA OPENS UP THE CHAKRAS & THE ENTIRE BEING -- TO FULLY COMPREHEND & To BE ONE WITH THE OBJECT - OF THE METTA BAHAVANA.

IN THE INITIAL PHASES WE EXTEND LOVING ENERGY FROM THE HEART CHAKRA TO ALL BEINGS – WHOM WE LOVE.

GRADUALLY WE EXTEND LOVING ENERGY TO OTHERS WHOM WE DO NOT KNOW … FROM THE CROWN CHAKRA

THE OBJECTIVE IS TO SUFFUSE THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE WITH THE ENERGY OF LOVE FOR ALL ...

UNTIL LOVE REACHES THE STATE OF BEING ALL THINGS.

METTA BHAVANA IS BEAUTY,
IT IS WISDOM,
IT IS TRUTH,
IT IS COMPASSION.

SOME SAY THAT METTA IS PASSIVE & COMPASSION ACTIVE.

BUT OTHERS SAY THIS VIEW BRINGS US SLIDING BACK INTO A REALM OF DUALITY.

THIS STEMS FROM THE WESTERN MIND’S TENDENCY TO COMPARTMENTALIZE THINGS & STATES OF BEING & CONSCIOUSNESS -- WHICH DEFY LABELS.

THUS METTA FLOWS & WITH IT FLOW COMPASSION, BEAUTY, TRUTH, WISDOM.

IN THIS RIVER OF COMPASSION ONE DIFFERENTIATES & CANNOT DISCERN WHICH FLOWS FASTER – BECAUSE ALL FLOWS & SO DO WE …"

According to Master Choa Kok Sui,
The meditator concentrates on the Crown & Heart Energy Centers while the hands are raised outward with the intention of radiating the Compassionate Healing Energy of Buddha Avalokiteshvara through simultaneously chanting the Mantra Om Mani Padme Hum …

When a person Practices the Meditation on Loving-Kindness, Divine Energy flows down, filling him with Divine Light, Love & Power ...

And the person becomes a channel for the Divine Energy.

During the Meditation on Loving Kindness ...

Both the Mantra Om & the Mantra Om Mani Padme Hum are chanted.

A person with a sufficiently activated Crown Chakra must know how use it in order to Achieve ILLUMINATION.

Concentration should not only be on the mantra OM

– but especially on the INTERVAL between the two OM’s…

It is by concentrating on the Light & on the MOMENT OF STILLNESS BETWEEN the two OM’s that Illumination may be achieved…

When the mind & the emotions are still it is possible to achieve “Illumination” or Divine Bliss & to experience one’s Buddha Nature.

May Joyful Sadhana be yours!

Loving Blessings be to All!

*Who are the Sentient Beings?

Any creatures which are able to “see” & “perceive” things…

Living Beings of “Awareness” or “Consciousness”… “Above or Below”

Loving Blessings be with All!
